Ruby Arizona Mining, Mayhem and Murder is about the 125-year history of the Montana mine and its Ruby mining camp in Arizona. The book is 115 pages long which includes many photos, maps and charts. It tells of a double murder case that happened in the 1920s. The rest of the book goes into the life story of Ruby as a community in the 1930s, when the mine in the town produced more lead, zinc than any of the other mines in Arizona. By that time the population had risen to 1200 residents. It includes interviews with former Ruby residents and their family photos.

Description: Good condition. Clean book. No stains or highlighting. White oder-free pages. Straight spine. Mild bend to one corner. Covers have the usual shelf wear, not bad. Signed by authors, I found the book in a thrift store and the signatures were in the book. I have no knowledge of when or where it was signed. I can only speculate on their authenticity, I cannot guarantee the signatures are authentic.

Interesting book filled with stories and pictures of the old mining town.

This Book is Available in my eBay Store.

Ruby, Arizona Today: A Preserved Mining Ghost Town

It’s like in the Wild West when you step in Ruby, Arizona. The Wild West is very much alive in Ruby.

This is not the usual tourist attraction. It is a piece of a past time.

Ruby is a symbol of the mining towns that have been preserved in Arizona. A fact that proves that mining was one of the industries that had its ups and downs.

The Allure of Ruby

But here’s the twist—Ruby is completely on private land. This adds to the town the essence of enigma and exclusivity.

Although Ruby is privately owned its story is still shining in broad daylight. It’s a story about a struggle, dedication, and a passion for valuable minerals being narrated.
